I had the opportunity to travel to Haiti during the winter break, a year after a severe earthquake devastated this already impoverished country. A lot can happen in a year. We could see the scars of the past, the earthquake rubble, destroyed homes, grieving families. Sure, Haiti needs help. But even more so than that, they need hope. Haiti still has a long way to go to recover physically and emotionally from what this tragedy did. Not to bring it to the standard of American living, but to bring it back to life. Period.
Living, in a way that’s more than just surviving. Life abundant.
“I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” John 10:10
